Ronald L. Hollis, Ph.D. is the President, CEO, and Co-founder of Quickparts.com, Inc. He provides vision, leadership, and knowledge in the development of businesses in the product development market. Ron is responsible for providing the strategic vision, execution, and leadership to drive the success of Quickparts. His experience covers all aspects of business, including marketing, sales, business development, and operations. It is with this experience that drives him to lead a team of executives in the development of a world changing company.
Ron and his company have received many awards and recognitions including: 2007, 2006 and 2005 Deloitte Fast 500; 2004 Ernst and Young Finalist Entrepreneur of the Year; 2004 “Innovator of the Year” by Catalyst magazine; Top 50 Entrepreneurs of Atlanta by Catalyst magazine; Hot 100 List from Entrepreneur Magazine; Finalist Small Business Person of the Year from Atlanta Metro Chamber of Commerce and Atlanta Business Chronicle and 2004 INC 500.
Ron is an inventor with a US patent for the invention of online, instant quoting of custom parts. He is also the author of Better Be Running!: Tools to Drive Design Success, a business book on product development, a graduate of MIT/INC Birthing of Giants, the former President of the Atlanta Chapter of Young Entrepreneur’s Organization (YEO), a member of Young President’s Organization (YPO), a corporate sponsor of Hands On Atlanta charity organization, and serves on the boards of other entrepreneurial companies.
Ron earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama as well as a MS and Ph.D. in Engineering from UAH with a focus in management of technology-based business and a registered Professional Engineer. Ron’s career has allowed him the opportunity to experience business from all aspects of product development and technology. Upon graduation he worked as a design engineer on Space Station Freedom for The Boeing Company; Director of Alabama Center for Advanced Technology; Vice President of Fastec Engineering, a manufacturing company where he was able to grow the company for a successful acquisition; President, CEO and Founder of Rapid Tech Engineering, a technology integration company which grew into a successful value added reseller for manufacturing services and engineering products.
His passion is building businesses that can make a positive change to the world by serving customers and developing leaders. Ron is married to Melanie Hollis since 1992 and had a son, Jackson, in 2007. For recreation, Ron enjoys hanging out at the lake, flying as a private pilot and traveling around the world.
