Charli Vogt loves anything that you can do in the kitchen. She has been cooking since she was a teenager when she won the Grand Champion Ribbon for her bread at the Fowlerville Fair in Michigan. When she became a Nurse and later a Midwife she continued her interest in cooking, but also became interested in the health that can be derived from healthy food and a healthy lifestyle. She has spent the last 35 years teaching people about health, healing, and food and is now a regular teacher of cooking, herbs and health in the Atlanta area. Her guests on Beyond the Measuring Cup, include chefs, farmers, producers, activists, writers and researchers in the topics of health and food. There is an emphasis on locally, organically, and sustainably grown food, with frequent visits from the farmers and producers in the local Atlanta area.
